BBGV Membership Directory – 2009
Message from HM Consul General and Director, UK Trade and Investment (Vietnam), Mr Tim Brownbill.

Firstly, I am delighted to introduce the British Business Group in Vietnam membership directory for 2009. I hope you find it helpful in putting you in touch with BBGV members in Vietnam.

In my short time here, I have already sensed the fantastic energy and dynamism amongst our active BBGV members. Undoubtedly, this has reflected in the group’s tremendous success over the past few years. Not only has its membership grown to some 360 it has also organised more events than ever before. The growing demand in BBGV membership and events both in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City is testament to its focus on meeting the needs of our British business community.

UK Trade & Investment, the government organisation that helps UK based companies to succeed in international markets, enjoys a close relationship with BBGV though its two teams based in the British Embassy and the British Consulate General. Our organisation appreciate deeply the valuable advice and staunch support BBGV has given us in the past, especially to visiting trade delegations and officials. Our visitors value greatly BBGV’s opinion on the realities and opportunities of doing business in Vietnam. This helps us to better assist newcomers to the market and to better represent the view of British companies that already have a presence here.

We will continue to do all we can over the coming year to support British business in Vietnam. We would like to hear more from you, so I encourage you to make contact with us, whether it’s in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City.

Finally, I was pleased to have met some of you at the annual BBGV Christmas party in December. It was great to see so many of us in joyful festive spirit. I look forward to meeting more of you in the coming months.

Mr Tim Brownbill, HM Consul General and Director, UK Trade and Investment (Vietnam), January 2009
