The BBGV HCMC Chapter | SOCIAL CHARTER

 

Background

Since its establishment in 1998, the BBGV has been active in coordinating a number of charitable events with the aim of raising money for the purpose of supporting specific projects in Vietnam for the direct benefit of the Vietnamese people. 

                          

The BBGV are keen to continue to organise raising exercises the aim of bringing assistance to disadvantaged Vietnamese people and particularly children and handicapped in Vietnam, in HCMC and the surrounding areas.

 

In recent years, the BBGV’s charitable programmes have been funded almost entirely by one event in the year – The Annual Fun Run for Charity - this event regularly attracts a great many participants and helps to raise money to enable the BBGV to fund charitable projects in Vietnam for the Vietnamese people.

 

 

Charity Projects Supported by the BBGV

The BBGV can contribute to projects which cover a broad spectrum of charitable fields and are committed to give priority to charity projects in Vietnam which meet with the needs of vulnerable children and/or their families, and the elderly, in difficult or disadvantaged circumstances including:

 

·         Health and Medical care

·         Basic Education

·         Vocational Training

·         Social Assistance

·         Rural Water Supplies

·         Provision of Medical & Educational

 

The BBGV will not contribute towards the following:

 

·         Local and or international travel costs

·         On going salaries of expatriate or local staff

·         Non project related administrative costs

·         Overseas educational scholarships
